Colline Teramane Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Riserva
“A majestic mystery that
unfolds with every sip”
There is a crescent moon engraved on our family coat of arms: an ancient, ancestral symbol that evokes the rhythms of nature which govern the way we make wine. Pieluni pays homage to this ancient heritage and, at the same time, to the winery’s present, as the name is derived from the initials of the fifth generation of the Illuminati family: Pierpaolo, Ludovica and Nicola. It all begins with a late harvest in the last ten days of October, followed by two years in barriques and more than two years in bottle in our cellars before it sees the light of day. Finally, in the glass, a ruby red emerges so intense that it seems impenetrable, almost black. The nose is filled with the scent of blackberries, plums and raspberries, and finally a spicy complexity emerges: vanilla, tobacco and liquorice intertwine in a layered bouquet that continues to evolve. On the palate, a perfect balance between smoothness and tannins emerges: an enveloping richness that captivates the palate with elegance. Structured, full-bodied and with great volume. All this is Pieluni, our Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Colline Teramane D.O.C.G. Riserva.
